Desi was born in Paris, France and discovered her love for painting Landscape scenes during her studies in the south of Italy. She has a Major in Ocean Science as well as an MBA for International Economics. Desi has lived on the island of Ischia in the gulf of Naples for many years inspiring her to express her love for this country through art. All her paintings are originals and exclusively painted with acrylic colors.
The Artist's love for the Sonoran Desert in Arizona with its hidden life and breathtaking beauty gives her the inspiration to paint desret scenes from the southwestern USA.
"I am painting landscapes that offer a sense of refuge, sanctuary, beauty and retreat. To me, painting is an act of observation and reflection combined with my emotional connection.." Desi is living with her family in Aptos since 2006.
Desi is the artist in residence at the Art DuJour Gallery in Santa Cruz
She is also a Gallery artist at the Santa Cruz Art League as well as at the Los Gatos LGAA.
